‘Brother Ray’ is the new show by The Denmark Street Big Band dedicated to the Songs and music of Ray Charles. The American singer, song writer and blind pianist highly regarded as ‘The Genius’ by his contemporaries who incorporated blues, Jazz, R & B and gospel with his song writing talents. The band will play the original arrangements of ‘Charles’ classic 1959 recording. Come and join us and have a ‘Mess Around’ and ‘Let the Good Times Roll for an incredible evening of classic Ray Charles songs including ‘Hit the Road Jack’, Busted, Hallelujah and I told Her So and the Ray Charles Anthem ‘Georgia’.

Join us for one night of true glitz when Hollywood based award winning British actor and singer Richard Shelton arrives in Liverpool to don Sinatra’s tuxedo and pulls out some of the greatest of Sinatra’s songs.

Supported by the fabulous Denmark Street Big Band based in London’s West End.

Richard Shelton (Emmerdale, Rat Pack Confidential) has performed on the greatest international stages including The Coliseum in London and Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, and regularly features on BBC radio.

His latest album,  ‘An Englishman in Love, in LA’ was recorded in Frank Sinatra’s studio B at Capital Studio’s in LA, using some of Sinatra’s musicians, and using Sinatra’s very own microphone. Richard even wears Sinatra’s actual tuxedo in performance – so this is no cheap imitation – Richard Shelton is Sinatra!
